Based in Senegal, Adrian is a sustainability advisor to major investors and companies, possessing 20+ years of experience managing ESG compliance for internationally-significant mining and infrastructure projects across Africa and the Middle East.

Derek J Moran
Director & London Representative
Derek, a Chartered Accountant (KPMG), is a corporate finance and development consultant focused on international investment. With 20+ years in natural resources—oil, gas, minerals, and gems—he has founded and led multiple public and private companies across Africa, Australasia, Europe, and North America. He is based in London.

Rob Clegg
Mineral Processing Technical Lead
Based in Senegal, Rob has 40+ years of experience as project director, chemical engineer & senior manager for mining and resources projects, technology and operations in numerous sectors, including alumina, aluminium smelting, copper, cobalt, nickel, and oil & gas projects.

James Durrant
Bauxite, Mining & Logistics Advisor
James is Senior Advisor for SDBC experienced in bauxite (including the Minim Martap Bauxite Project), African project financing & development. He is also Managing Director for RareX in Australia and Kenya; and Director of EAU Mining, an East African focused exploration & mining company.

Stephen Trickett
Power and Energy Advisor
Stephen Trickett, Senior Advisor to SDBC, brings 30 years of heavy engineering project management experience, with the past decade focused on power and energy. He has led and developed major hydropower, solar, and gas projects across Africa and beyond, managing execution, costing, and financing.
